I mosaiced three polystyrene balls some time ago, but had kept them in a box because I did not have a suitable way of displaying them. Yesterday in my travels I found a cute wire urn. I was delighted to find that it had a 50% off price tag on it. My 3 balls fitted nicely into the urn.

I have a good friend who lives in the Hamptons in NY State. This year they had an enormous snowfall and could not get out of their house...... so much snow that it came halfway up their door! How lucky we are that we dont have those issues.

In February 2010, I went to visit my son who was living in Singapore. It is an amazing place to visit. The best time to visit Singapore is February, as it is the coldest month ~ by local standards that is. For visitors it is sweltering to say the least. Very hot indeed and it was very hard to walk around and do any outdoor activities. I did not want to miss visiting the famous Orchid Garden.

I had purchased these two tealight holders some time ago with the intention of mosaicing them. They sat staring at me for the past 2 years. Finally, I decided to mosaic them so I can actually use them. I was thrilled with how they turned out and have places one on my hearth and one on my coffee table. Here we all are proudly showing off our etched necklace that we learned how to make with Jenny Crossley. This was a GOLDEN GEL MEDIUM transfer. I had the frame which had a sealed glass centre with a photo that I didnt like (bought eons ago when I only wanted the frame). Being invited for the first time to join a Chunky Book Tag Swap by the lovely Rob Keogh was very exciting indeed. Thirteen lovely ladies decided to get together and have a full weekend of craft. Jen Crossley was one of us and taught three wonderful classes. Saturday all day we made her famous Swallow Book, Sunday we made an etched necklace and Sunday nite we made a beautiful crystal necklace. My latest achievement! This urn is part of a two piece set called "Mother and Daughter".Mother has taken me three years to complete. I began it 3 years ago and had done 1/4 of it. It was left like so many projects gathering dust and spider webs, when one moves on to other projects. Over the Easter Long weekend I came across it and decided to finish it! It is huge, height is 72cm (28").

I have just returned from a week in Provence.It certainly was not long enough,but made the most of the time that I had.I was looking for the "Flea Markets" that everyonetalks about, but could not find them as I was hoping forget some interesting things for my collages etc. I didmanage to find great produce markets and also didlots of sightseeing.
